Construction of the Connswater Community Greenway moves full steam ahead

Works on the Connswater Community Greenway move full steam ahead with great progress on multiple sites across East Belfast.

At the Sydenham Bypass to Mersey Street (D5) section our contractor, Farrans have finished piling works and have begun their first pour of concrete for the Greenway walkway. Whilst a little further along from Mersey Street to the Ballymacarrett Walkway piling works are complete along the west side of the black path and at the Severn Street Bridge. Works will shortly move across the river towards the Holywood Arches Health Centre.

East Belfast Partnership rebranded to EastSide Partnership

We are delighted to announce the rebrand from East Belfast Partnership to EastSide Partnership. The Connswater Community Greenway is being developed and *delivered by East Belfast Partnership which will now be known as the EastSide Partnership.

Flying the flag for national engineering campaign

Phase two of the Connswater Community Greenway in East Belfast has joined a special nationwide campaign to show the public the positive impact civil engineering has on their lives.

The Institution of Civil Engineers’ (ICE) “This is Civil Engineering” campaign sees huge banners displayed on infrastructure projects across the UK telling the public what civil engineering is, but also making a clear link between the work taking place and how it will benefit the local community.

Progress on the Phase 2 construction of the Connswater Community Greenway/ East Belfast Flood Alleviation Scheme works continue with lots of developments popping up across most of east Belfast. 

Orangefield Park Celebrations a huge success

Last Saturday, (29th August) we held Orangefield Park Celebrations on the Connswater Community Greenway at Orangefield Park for the second year running.

The day was a huge success as thousands flocked to Orangefield Park. There was lots of activities to see and do on the day including zorbing, bungee trampoline, football, arts and crafts, street theatre and even more.
