Greenway to Greenway Pedalling Picnic East Belfast Partnership's Connswater Community Greenway project held their first ever Pedalling Picnic on Friday 28th August, cycling from Victoria Park on the proposed Connswater Community Greenway route to Billy Neill Stadium along the Comber Greenway route.

Bloomfield Community Centre hosted a public meeting for local residents to hear more about proposals for the £40m Connswater Community Greenway and how it would impact on their area.

Connswater Community Greenway arranged for Sustrans to visit two community centres in East Belfast to deliver National Standard Cycle Training to local children. The purpose of the training was to enable local children to cycle safely and to encourage them to get on their bikes with the aim of increasing usage of the Connswater Community Greenway once complete.

US Consul General Visits Greenway

US Consul General Visits Greenway

The new United States Consul General for Belfast, Kevin Roland, visited the CCG project office as part of his tour of East Belfast. Cllr Dawn Purvis MLA hosted Mr Roland’s visit to east Belfast where she highlighted issues of concern in the area as well as areas where improvement is needed. The tour also included visiting projects which were working to improve the conditions of the area and the people.
