Join our Robin themed workshop next month to learn about this element of our C.S. Lewis Square...

Earlier this year we revealed that there would be seven sculptures coming to the C.S. Lewis Square - The Holywood Arches section of the Connswater Community Greenway.  As part of this process we will be engaging with the public through different art mediums over the next year.
Next month we will be holding a workshop around The Robin Sculpture and would like to invite you to an artistic workshop to help us bring this particular sculpture ‘to life’. During the workshop you will have the opportunity to colour in a Robin that will be part of a short film through the medium of flip motion art. Your art piece will be featured in the final promotional film.
(During the workshop you will get the chance to colour in a robin that will be part of a flip motion art film)
During the workshop, you will also get the opportunity to meet artist Maurice Harron to hear how he has interpreted the characters of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ through his sculptures for the C.S. Lewis Square. You will also hear about each of the sculptures characters and their role in The Chronicles of Narnia, written by east Belfast man C.S. Lewis.
The C.S. Lewis Square will include seven Narnia themed sculptures including The White Witch, Maugrim, Mr Tumnus, A Broken Stone Table, Aslan, Mr and Mrs Beaver and The Robin. The C.S. Lewis Square is part of the Connswater Community Greenway and is currently under construction in east Belfast in the Holywood Arches area.
The workshop will take place on Thursday 10th March, 1pm – 3pm at the Holywood Arches Library. Places are limited to just 30 people. Reserve your place by contacting Michele by emailing or telephone 028 9046 7930 by Friday 4th March 2016.
