Volunteers needed for Parc study

Queen’s University Belfast are carrying out a £1million study on the Connswater Community Greenway known as PARC (Physical Activity and the Regeneration of Connswater). The study is a ‘before and after’ evaluation of the impact of the CCG on the physical activity, health and wellbeing of residents living near the Greenway. Further information can be found here.

The research includes carrying out observations in parks and open spaces along the CCG known as SOPARC. It is carried out twice a year with the last observation taking place in July 2017 with the help of local volunteers.

The next study will take place from Tuesday 20th – Sunday 26th March 2018.

The observations will take place at various locations and times on the Greenway (7:30am - 8:30am, 12:30pm- 1:30pm and 3:30 – 4.30pm)

We cannot carry out this vital research without the help and support of volunteers and appreciate the support people have gave us in the past.

If you are interested in taking part please contact laura@eastsidepartnership.com before Wednesday 7th March 2018.

Training will be provided by Queen’s University Belfast on a one to one basis or as part of a group. Travel expenses will also be reimbursed and you will be provided with lunch vouchers, a hi viz vest and an ID badge.
