Flying the flag for national engineering campaign

Phase two of the Connswater Community Greenway in East Belfast has joined a special nationwide campaign to show the public the positive impact civil engineering has on their lives.

The Institution of Civil Engineers’ (ICE) “This is Civil Engineering” campaign sees huge banners displayed on infrastructure projects across the UK telling the public what civil engineering is, but also making a clear link between the work taking place and how it will benefit the local community.

Orangefield Park Celebrations a huge success

Last Saturday, (29th August) we held Orangefield Park Celebrations on the Connswater Community Greenway at Orangefield Park for the second year running.

The day was a huge success as thousands flocked to Orangefield Park. There was lots of activities to see and do on the day including zorbing, bungee trampoline, football, arts and crafts, street theatre and even more. 

Outdoor Mental Health Art Gallery launches in Orangefield Park

On Thursday 20th August Bloomfield Youth Safety Partnership launched a Mental Health Outdoor Art Gallery in Orangefield Park. The Bloomfield Youth Safety Partnership is a group of twelve young people from East Belfast who have been supported by Bloomfield Community Association and East Belfast Alternatives.

Construction of the Connswater Community Greenway continues across most of east Belfast.

Construction has now begun in the Hollow at Elmgrove to Beerbridge Road (section C6). This site is very special to the Connswater Community Greenway as it is where the Connswater River meets the Knock and the Loop Rivers and it is what our logo is based on!
