Final construction phase of the Greenway kicking off in the New Year...

Construction will begin next month on the second phase of the £40 million Connswater Community Greenway, in east Belfast.   This carries on from the recently completed phase 1 greenway works at Victoria and Orangefield Park’s.

Exciting plans for phase 2 of the Connswater Community Greenway include:

·         A C.S. Lewis themed civic square at Holywood Arches

·         Public art at Holywood Arches and gateways

Lord Mayor of Belfast visits the Connswater Community Greenway

Yesterday Belfast Lord Mayor, Nichola Mallon visited us for a cycle along the Connswater Community Greenway (CCG). We were also joined by Sammy Douglas MLA and Rose Crozier  (Belfast City Council, Parks and Leisure) with Wendy Langham (CCG Programme Manager) as their guide for the morning. 

Connswater Community Greenway Phase 2 site investigations commencing...

Our Phase 2 contractor,  Farrans Construction will be conducting some initial site investigations in the lead up to Phase 2 works of the Connswater Community Greenway. 

The initial site investigations will run from Thurs 20th - Fri 12th Dec. Details of locations as below.

We won - Belfast Healthy Cities Healthy Places Award!

On Friday 14th November we attended Belfast Healthy Cities Awards at the Hilton Hotel, Belfast as we had been shortlisted in the Belfast Helathy Cities, Healthy Places category.

Possible noise disruption to residents beside Victoria Park underpass entrance

Over the next 4 nights (commencing this evening) essential works will be carried out to the fencing by the Sydenham railway line next to the Victoria Park underpass.
 
The nature of the work means that it can only be carried out after trains have stopped running meaning that work will be carried out through the night.
