The latest CCG Stakeholder Forum was held at Connswater Community Centre on Friday 5th February with approximately 53 people in attendance. 

An update on the project was given by Sean Brannigan, Community Engagement Officer, in which issues such as land assembly, design and ongoing community engagement activities were discussed.

Over 100 Santas were getting in shape for the big Christmas Eve event, by cycling along part of the Connswater Community Greenway and the Comber Greenway on Sunday.

National Tree Planting Week reaches East Belfast

The Connswater Community Greenway, Belfast City Council and Conservation Volunteers NI teamed up with local residents and volunteers to plant a stand of native trees in Dixon Playing Fields as part of National Tree week.

New Study Will Assess CCG Impact on Health

QUB PARC StudyQueen’s University this week announced the £800,000 PARC (Physical Activity and Rejuvenation of Connswater) study. The study will involve researchers from the Centre of Excellence, based at QUB, charting the health effects the construction of the Connswater Community Greenway has on the local community in East Belfast.

NY Speaker Christine Quinn Visits the Greenway

New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn visited Northern Ireland last week for a series of high-level political, business and community engagements.

The trip to Belfast included meetings with First and Deputy First Ministers Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness and community leaders in East and West Belfast.
