CCG hosts Big Lottery NI Staff Away Day

The Connswater Community Greenway hosted the Big Lottery Northern Ireland Staff Away Day on the 13th March.

The staff members were split into five groups to focus on the various themes within the CCG project: Shared Space; Physical Environment; Health; Education and Economic.

They were firstly given the opportunity to walk part of the CCG and then sent to team centres situated around East Belfast.

The Connswater Community Greenway held their third Stakeholder Forum at the East Belfast Mission on Friday 27th February 2009. The event was attended by over 60 people representing the community, private, public and voluntary sectors.

Wendy Langham, Programme Manager, provided an update on the project as well as highlighting the aims for the next quarter.

Visit to Colin Glen Forest Park The CCG Staff Team visited Colin Glen Forest Park in West Belfast.

The Colin Glen Trust was established in 1989 and since then they have been working to promote the conservation protection and improvement of the natural environment around the Colin Glen and to develop practical projects for recreational and leisure pursuits.
